Hello everyone! Long time no see. This post provides an explanation of the six main points in the first part of the Full Release v1.0 Update. We will discuss what each point will bring to the server in this new update. We wanted to create this post to keep you informed and engaged with the project. While most points are self-explanatory, I will also provide a more in-depth explanation.

Criminal Module

  • Introducing a criminal hub means adding a new area to the map exclusively for non-government jobs to access special resources and services unavailable elsewhere. There will also be organization-based interactions in the criminal hub for those interested in upgrading or improving their crime syndicates.

  • We are completely overhauling the current organization system. The old system will be entirely replaced with a new, customized organization system, allowing you to choose between two different organization types: crime syndicate or business. This change will enable us to introduce stocks to the game mode, reflecting the performance of player-owned businesses. You can also build your crime empire by unlocking organization-specific features. Additionally, we will add an upgrade system and missions that become available as you level up your organization. There will also be organization-specific item vendors, providing further incentives to develop your organization.

  • With the new and improved organization system, we will introduce a progression system based on reputation points. These points can be spent to upgrade your organization by unlocking specific missions, NPCs, jobs, and items. Additionally, there will always be an organization leaderboard in the bank for business-class organizations and a leaderboard in the criminal hub for crime syndicate organizations.

  • Earlier in the BETA, there was no way to steal and strip down a vehicle. The current system uses a simple, boring NPC that you wait by until the vehicle disappears. Our approach is to remove that NPC and introduce a new SWEP, allowing you to strip parts from a stolen vehicle. Additionally, we are adding vehicle alarms (available at Santos Customs) that trigger when you lockpick or attempt to strip parts from a vehicle.

Quality of Life Module

  • Finally, we are introducing NPCs that feel more alive. The plan is to have NPCs that move around and perform various animations, such as leaning on walls, adding a new atmosphere. This will make the NPCs feel more like actual living characters in the game world rather than static "DarkRP" NPCs.

  • This update is straightforward but essential for helping new players get started in the Santos game mode. We'll be offering a more forgiving starting balance of around $25,000 (though this amount isn't set in stone yet) and introducing new items to help players learn various mechanics of the game mode.

  • This update will be quite exciting as it adds a lot to the game mode, making player-owned businesses more interesting and impactful for all players. For example, a player-owned bank can offer services such as ATM/storage access, loans, and special account types with unique interest rates and fees. Additionally, businesses specializing in tobacco, firearms, and coffee will create new opportunities, allowing them to be invested in through the stock market. This enables business owners to upgrade their organizations, expand, and access new features.

  • Adding more jobs in the city of Riverden is essential, as there are currently not many available. This update will introduce new roles such as SWAT, FBI Agent, Drug Dealer, and Sanitation Worker, among others. These additions will bring more dynamics and new features to the city of Riverden.

Government

  • The long-awaited court system is finally here. This update will introduce new roles such as judge, lawyer, and prosecutor. While we're still fine-tuning the specifics of how it will operate, we're confident it will be a great addition once fully planned out. The system will provide a comprehensive platform accessible via the laptop/computer item, allowing management of court cases and prisoner requests.

  • Introducing SWAT and Detective roles, along with new features tailored to their responsibilities. While a police ranking system currently exists, we're considering a complete overhaul to enhance administrative structure and pave the way for future PD advancements with added flexibility.

  • Introducing a revamped mayoral voting system: mayoral elections will be announced in chat, providing you with the opportunity to visit the city hall to cast your vote. During elections, the city hall will undergo a visual transformation to reflect the active voting process. Additionally, an elections app will be accessible on your phone, allowing you to view current election statistics, including each candidate's net worth, profession, and associations.

  • Introducing a comprehensive city management system that empowers the mayor to allocate the city budget from taxes strategically. They can choose to focus on citizen welfare by organizing festivals, unlocking NPC vendors with unique items, and investing in valuable resources. Alternatively, funds can be directed towards enhancing police resources, including armored vehicles, better armor, and specialized weaponry. An app will be available for all citizens to track city funds, view decisions regarding random city events and budget management, and provide feedback through an approval rating feature. Notably, city funds are linked to the bank vault, meaning that during a bank robbery, city funds may be compromised.
